The Days // Maternity

I was so thrilled to be contacted by the Day family again! Last time I had worked with them, little Emry was only 6 months old, and now she's expecting a baby sister! It was so fun to see how much Emry had grown since our last shoot (which can be found here) and to capture her with Allison and James before the next bundle of joy arrives. Allison looks absolutely beautiful and she certainly has the maternity glow going on, plus her red hair worked wonders with the sunset. :) Thankfully we lucked out with a 50+ degree day at the end of December (thanks, Kansas), so this time I was able to show them some of my favorite Lawrence spots! I'm so excited for this family as they await baby girl #2. I hope I'll be able to meet her when she arrives!

Thanks for trusting me with your photos again, James and Allison, and many congratulations to you both!

Baby Vance

I was so happy to be contacted by the Neff family again to photograph their newest member, Vance. A few months back I got to take maternity photos for Sarah, Matt, and Penelope (those photos can be viewed here!), and the opportunity to meet little Vance in person and to witness his big sister interact with him was such a joy. Just like the rest of his family, Vance does great in front of a camera (even when he makes his adorable grumpy face). I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them!

*Full photoshoot can be found here.

The Neffs // Maternity

Having the opportunity to meet families like the Neffs is one of the reasons why I love doing photography. Without it, I would not have been able to get to know Matt, Sarah, and their sweet and energetic Penelope. We got to spend a beautiful Saturday (seriously, the weather was perfect) exploring the parks around Lawrence and taking photos to celebrate their soon-to-come little one. The beautiful Sarah literally brightened the landscape (that dress!), and watching her and Matt interact with Penelope was so fun, even when she was intent on throwing as many sticks into the river as she could. :) All in all I had a blast working with all of them. Here are some snapshots from the day - enjoy!
