The Giesys // 7.30.16

I had a blast spending the day photographing the wedding of Kelsey and Jules. This wedding was particularly fun for me because it took place in my hometown, so I got to see many familiar faces throughout the day. It was pretty amazing to see how many people came to celebrate with the happy couple, including Willy the Wildcat who made a guest appearance at the reception! K-State was a big theme for these two (you can see their engagement shoot at the KSU football stadium here)!

It's always a privilege to be a part of someone's wedding day, and I have to say I was extremely impressed with this bride. Somehow throughout the craziness of the day (and in the weeks leading up to it) Kelsey managed to be super organized, encouraging, laid-back, and flexible all at once. She took such good care of me and Queren (shoutout to my awesome second shooter!) and made sure we were comfortable, despite it being her special day. And she managed to look so stunning the entire time! Seriously, though - see for yourself! Needless to say, it was such a fun and festive celebration. Thank you for letting me be a part of it all, Kelsey and Jules. Many congratulations to you both!!

Bostyn Mae

This little one has already brought so much joy into our world. I have loved being an aunt so far (working on becoming the favorite aunt!), and it has been so fun to watch my brother and sister-in-law grow into the role of being parents. A few weeks back I got to go home and take some pictures of the new family. As you can tell, Bostyn is still getting used to the camera. :) She's already grown since these pictures were taken, so this will have to be proof for how tiny she was!
