Hello!! My name is Rachel Rudeen. I’m a mom, wife, photographer, and potter living in Lawrence, KS. I’ve been photographing weddings in Kansas since 2014, and what started as a side-gig passion project has now turned into my main hustle (other than taking care of my hilarious and beloved one-year-old). I have loved building a community of clientele not only for weddings, but for sessions capturing all of life’s special (and seemingly mundane - but aren’t those actually the most important??) moments. I LOVE my clients and am so grateful to them all for getting me to where I am today, and I am always excited to meet new people and start capturing their walk of life. I hope that if you’re reading this, you’ll let me join in on yours too!

Some random facts to get to know me better:

• I’ve been married for 10 years to my better half, and he is a huge factor in pushing me to launch my own photography business (and is solely responsible for building me my own ceramic studio in my basement). I’m a lucky lady.

• My biggest joy and source of constant entertainment is my daughter, Hazel.

• I’m trained as a nurse and worked in the community for 5 years before choosing to stay home with my daughter. I worked in the ED, community health, postpartum unit, and more!

• I have two cats who add lots of cuddles and fur to my life.

• I have been trying to up my latte art game - all self-taught thanks to Instagram.

• I thrive on one-to-one interactions and often feel intimidated in a crowd.

• I’m a 9 on the Enneagram!

• In a rare moment of free time, you’ll probably find me on a walk or working on a puzzle. :)
